3 Months!
- lifting his head up to 90 degrees
- cooing and making all kinds of fun baby sounds, he really likes to see how loud he can get, especially when you are not looking at him and he wants some attention
- holding his head up by himself most of the time
- sitting up by himself with his back against something
- obsessed with his hands, they are usually in his mouth
- SMILING! This is by far the best one!
Caleb talking to the mobile Nana and Pop Pop gave him...
Working on sitting up with the help of his buddy Hank...
poor kid doesn't know what team he is supposed to root for...

Better late than never...
Well it's official, we are doing the blog thing. So here it is, our blog...the idea behind it is to keep all our friends and family (particularly those far away) up to date on us and our sweet little Caleb. And since we haven't been doing such a great job of this thus far, here is a crash course on the last few months...
Caleb was born Dec. 8, 2008 and weighed in at a whooping 8lbs 6 oz. He is the sweetest little boy and we can barely remember what life was like with out him (this may also be in part to the sleep we no longer get). He is the incredible growing baby and at his last check up was already up to 14lbs, however this was almost a month ago and we are pretty sure that he is closer to 16 now. Needless to say the kid eats like a champ, so he fits right in at our house. Lately he has been working on lifting his head, attempting to sit up unassisted and has started "talking". I use that term loosely because "talking" consists more of cooing but we still love to hear what he has to say!
Brad started a new job shortly after Caleb was born with the Arlington Fire Dept. He is in training every day until May and then it's back to the 24 on/48 off routine, and I just started back to work at Gladney a few weeks ago. I miss spending my days with Caleb but we are lucky that Aunt Katie is watching him for us. She is doing a great job and they seem to have a lot of fun together.
So that's the abbreviated version of what we've been up to. We will try to keep this updated fairly often so that all the people we love can share our joy in watching our little boy turn into a big boy. In the mean time these are some pictures of him from birth until now.
